Militants under the federal government subsidy scheme have launched a protest in
Yenegoa,
Bayelsa State capital. Eyewitnesses say the angry militants are setting
cars on fire as they protest the government’s refusal to pay their
allowances.
One
of the angry militants was quoted by an eyewitness as saying “I didn’t
surrender my weapons to be treated like this. I know how much I dey make that time”.
Meanwhile, the Joint Task Force, JTF has been invited to control the situation before it goes out of hand.
